changing lives through learning
Anger: Friend or Foe
About the workshop
This three-hour workshop examines how we develop and maintain negative thoughts and behaviours. Working with anger is not easy and many people avoid it altogether because of their lack of experience, their fear around it, or their own unresolved issues around anger. This workshop will offer ideas and tools that will enable you to feel more confident when working with anger. Part of this workshop will focus on how to facilitate young people in identifying anger triggers and safely process heightened emotions.
Who is it for?
The training is aimed at both students and practicing counsellors, mental health workers, support workers, educationalists and people in helping roles.
What will I do on this workshop?
The workshop will be a mix of didactic training, group discussion and experiential exercises. There will be the opportunity to reflect on how we personally and as professionals manage anger and allow for exploration and resolution.
